In this blog we will explain how certain things work and what certain functions are for.
Today we are going to talk about the contractor in Ridechapel. You have to be at least level 4 to get to Ridechapel. :p
10 must haves for your ranch:
1. Buy an indoor arena
The indoor arena comes in handy for the trainers between us. You get 5 coins off the lesson price and training takes 20 seconds less to complete! To buy the indoor arena, you need 100.000c and it takes 7 days to complete the build!
2. The lunging circle
The lunging circle is a building that almost every ranch has. It costs 25.000c and takes 3 days to complete. This building has two functions in the game: train your foals skills and schooling. when the foal is born; it has 50% of the skills, the rest you need to train yourself. If one of the parents isn't 100% maxed, you have to train more in order to complete the skillset. You can also school your horse in the lunging circle. Once your horse turns 3 years old, you need to complete 10 successful schooling lessons before you can train it. The lunging circle is handy to have, because otherwise you have to rent one, and that costs coins.
3. Paddocks
Once you start the game, you have 1 paddock with 4 places. But usually this isn’t enough for all the horses in your stable. You can buy more paddocks for 20.000c each. It takes 2 days to complete and you can have a total of 8 paddocks on your ranch. The advantage of a paddock is that you don’t need to feed your horses, your horse’s health increases (unless your horse is 25 years of older), and your horse’s happiness increases! You still need to give your horses water, unless you have automatic water troughs.
4. Breeding pastures
Breeding pastures are very important buildings on your ranch, you use them to breed foals and to gain (plus)coins. They’re an investment, but they are most certainly worth it! Building the first pasture costs 35,000 coins. The second and third pastures are more expensive; 70,000 coins and 125,000 coins, respectively. If you don’t have a pasture yet, you can rent one from another player, or rent a pasture from the game. You don't need to feed or water your horses when they are in the pasture, but it is still useful to keep an eye on the hoof quality and vaccinations of your horses that are in the pasture.
5. Stables
When you start playing My Horsez, you have 3 stables available. You can buy 3 more stables for 15,000 coins each, but if you want more horses, you need more stables. These cost 200 pluscoins per stable, and you can buy stables on the pluscoins page. Stables are always useful because they give you space for more horses!
6. The walker
The walker is a building you need to go exploring in, for example, the Woods of Solovo. In the walker you can work on your horses' stamina. Building a walker costs 50,000 coins and takes 4 days. A horse stays in the training for 10 minutes and gains +3% stamina per session. Your horse does get hungry and thirsty from training; hunger and thirst decrease by 5% each time your horse is in the walker. It is important that your horse's hunger and thirst bars are at least 50% full.
7. Automatic water troughs
Automatic water troughs are an investment of 1,000 pluscoins, but a worthwhile one. With these troughs you never have to water your horses again! Automatic water troughs are placed in paddocks and stables to provide your horses with water.
8. The outdoor arena
With an outdoor arena you can train more cheaply than normal; you get a 5 coin discount on the lesson price! Combined with an indoor arena, training becomes a lot cheaper and easier. Building the outdoor arena costs 35,000 coins and takes 4 days to build. A must-have for any trainer!
9. Extra paddock spaces
You can add extra paddock spaces for pluscoins. This is especially useful if you have a lot of horses. For 50 pluscoins, an extra horse can fit in one of your paddocks, super handy!
10. Foliage and expansions
Foliage has no function in the game, except that it makes your ranch look more beautiful and luxurious. That matters too! You can add bushes, hedges, or trees to your ranch. You can also expand your ranch: this also has no function, except that it looks fantastic! For example, you can have a fountain, a fence, or a forest path built.
Thank you for reading this blog!
Which ranch expansion do you think is the most important, and which expansion are you currently saving up for? :3
